In his interview with the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Joseph explained that transitioning to a franchisee has been “like riding a bike — only faster.”
Four of the eight of Joseph’s Checkers locations will be existing stores, including three that closed during a tough time for the brand.
Now, Checkers is stronger than ever and is excited for its growth in California in partnership with Wow Burgers LLC, Joseph’s brand.
This type of partnership is a “rare situation” for Checkers, according to CEO Rick Silva. But Joseph’s strong experience with the brand made the pairing a great match.
The partnership between Checkers and Wow Burgers LLC has already helped grow sales by 19 percent since this time last year.
