Nick Panjwani likes the growth opportunity of the brand and the support he receives.
Nick Panjwani is no stranger to the QSR market. When Panjwani was looking for a new opportunity with a new brand he set his sights on Checkers. After opening his first location in the Houston, Texas, market, he is now on his way to opening a second Checkers location before the year's end.
The Tampa, Florida-based brand is new to the Houston market, and Panjwani wanted to franchise with Checkers & Rally’s for the growth opportunity and to build a relationship with the brand.
After becoming a Checkers franchisee, Panjwani says he is “very happy” with the success he has found with his Checkers location.
His favorite thing about working with the Checkers & Rally’s brand is the support he receives.
“The best part about being in the Checkers family is that everyone from the top to the bottom of the corporate office is so supportive of their franchisees,” said Panjwani. “In every step of the way. From finding and setting up a location, to running the construction site and helping with operations, they are 100 percent committed and supportive.”
It’s the same support that Panjwani, would suggest future franchises look for when deciding on a concept.
“Go with the franchisor who has a great support system for the franchisee,” said Panjwani.
In addition to support, Panjwani advises future franchisees trust the brand and spend where it’s important.
“Take a bold step and trust them,” said Panjwani. “The franchise system knows what tools to provide to a franchisee to be successful. Don’t be stingy in spending money in the right equipment and right infrastructure that the brand requires.”
When it comes to ordering at his Checkers location in Houston, Panjwani’s favorite menu item is the Big Buford, a sandwich featuring two meat patties with sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion, with Checkers’ famous seasoned fries.
